Dingo's Journal!

About Us
So you wanna learn a bit about the site, and its humble little owners, hmm? Okie, where to begin...
Nightfox-Arts started as most websites do--as a passing idea between myself--Dingo--and DrJones. Seeing as we had access to webspace and the means to do so, we decided to do something with it. Shameless plugs and truffles go to Pegla of DutchFurs for providing the hosting space! Before then, having a website besides a generic VCL archive was an idea that had been brewing in my mind for quite a while. I just had no idea of how to go about it. I suck at anything beyond basic html, but I wanted the place to look and operate better than the capabilities of even basic html. The site itself was laid out for building at lori.cytag.net about March the 6th, 2002.

For such a simple site concept it took longer than usual, and a few relocations, but as an agreement between myself and DrJones (fondly referred to as 'Jonesy') following Anthrocon 2002, we bore down to finish the last revisions and build-ups of the site. Currently, the site's main focus is displaying artwork of anthropomorphic animals, or 'Furries' (definitions of such and more can be found here)--some personal, plenty public, and, bidding the courtesy, gift art from others.

About the Artist..

The foxxie, the person, the obsession with chok'lit and floofytails...

About the Bunny..
The reason you're able to see these pages in the first place. The brains behind the bunny..

FAQ

Questions, Comments, Criticisms, Whitticisms--Even flames! No popular site of this focus is without flame-mail afterall. *snirk* send mail to:
Tiki_Dingo at Yahoo dot com

Okay, okay, we're just kidding about the flames.

How often do you update?
Not very often, really. I'm a busy guy and for the moment this is mainly a hobby and not something I spend nearly as much time doing as, say, Ken Sample or Doug Winger. But I do try to get something up each month, and on most holidays!

Hey! I like your stuff! Can I put some of your art on my website? Edited Jan. 6th, 2007
Okay, here's the deal. The long and short of it. G'wan, go right ahead. Reposting of my artwork as it is will not get you flamed. However, I would very much appreciate an email from you, to check out where my art's going though. Kind of like a passive tracking. I've been known to add links to websites which catch my interest, so that can amount to free advertizing to give me a ping.

There is one caveat to this: I dig good-faith sharing of art, but I do not condone or promote the modification of others' artwork. If I start seeing my own artwork being posted as graffiti'd, sig-cropped (removal of identifying marks), or otherwise defaced, I might have to start limiting what I make publically available for digest, and I'd hate that. 'Net art gets around eventually, but the really cool sheit would be fricking hard for you to find if it comes to this. Bottom line: Respect the work. And if you feel the need to modify it, well...

Hey, wait! I want to ink/color your work because it's not finished! Can I?! Edited Jan. 6th, 2007
Sure. I would appreciate it if you let me know, though I can't stop anyone from modifying my work, so I won't pitch a bitch over such. All I can say right now is if you feel like coloring or updating my work (as a service for yourself, me, or others), hey, knock yourself out. Frack, I may even post it with due credit to you if you put some stank on it. But I don't like defacement for the sake of spite or fame-hunting. There's a line, however thin, and in the end I'm not owned by anyone; I *can* stop posting my work on the internet if it's being abused. :)

Hey! Can I bug you into taking requests or commissions?
Please don't. :) At the moment I am not taking commissions or requests, but there may be a time in the future when I decide to. For like..say...a contest or something. I've been known to do sketchbooks and a few requests at furry conventions, but let's face it, there are soooo many better types to ask for commissions!

Hey! ...Your art sUxx0rz! Can I link directly to it and have people point and laugh?
By all means, express your personal opinion about my stuff. But don't hotlink to it! Link to the site if you absolutely must, KK?

Hey! ...Your art fnekkin' ROCKS!
Thank you. :)

Can I use some of your characters in my own art/story/MUCK/whatever?
Email me the details of what you'd like to use the character for, first. And if I say 'Well sure!' then go right ahead. Oh...please give a bit of credit when you do use them. Common courtesy and all that. :)

Site Linking

Feel free to do so if you would like to link to us! However, we ask only a few things:
   * That you please use our cover page to link to ( www.NightFox-Arts.com ), and not any of the sections contained within.
   * That you send a little notification in email (or track either DrJones or Niko down on MUCKs), like FurryMUCK or Tapestries. Hey, we'd like to sniff about on whichever sites want to link to us, too! For a little flair, we're including a few buttons to use for linking purposes. Post these as your links if you wish.
